Andrew Dan-Jumbo Celebrity Carpenter
Named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in May 2003
Andrew Dan-Jumbo completed five seasons on the TLC home improvement show "While You Were Out" and now is hosting his own show called "Take Home Handyman". An exceptional carpenter but reluctant sex symbol, Andrew took an interesting route to the wonderful world of celebrity. Born in Nigeria and raised in Shoreham, a coastal town near London, England, Andrew attended London’s St. Martin’s College of Art & Design, and then moved to San Diego, California, where he honed his surfing skills. After a few years Andrew returned to England, where he began a career as a freelance graphic designer. In 1991, Andrew returned to the U.S. and, with his brother, co-founded Eurotek in Buffalo, New York, a commercial and residential construction company. It was here that Audrey Marketing discovered Andrew Dan-Jumbo and introduced him to the world on the TLC show While You Were Out. Andrew enjoys cooking, music, sports and working out. Andrew has guest starred on Oprah, The View, Extra, The Jane Pauley Show and CNN, and appeared in numerous periodicals including People Magazine and TV Guide. Also he has been the featured guest speaker at Home Shows throughout the United States and Canada. Although carpentry takes up the majority of his schedule, Andrew has done television and radio commercials, along with print and runway modeling.
